“My mom told me that when I was 5 years old I told her that I wanted to be an actor”

After a long road that saw him dream of a career in the N.B.A., graduate from college in Social Sciences, and try his hand at a B.A. in Economics, he then formed a moderately successful Rap & R\B group (Da Freshmen: released on MCA in 1994); before finally ending up right up where he started--- ACTING.

He re-entered Concordia University in Theatre Performance primed to delve into the craft of acting.  But halfway through the 36-month program he decided to skip the second act and tackle the real world.

“ I was so tired of lying down on the floor and messin’ wit’ my shakras; I had to get out there and see if I was at least half as good as I thought I was.”

With a meager nine years under his belt he has managed to accumulate over 50 film & TV credits as well as penning 3 full-length feature scripts. He currently plays the role of “Detective Jimmy Weeks” on the Global crime drama series BLUE MURDER. His most recent credits include the fact based television movie ICEBOUND starring Susan Sarandon and NITELITE starring Shannon Doherty. He has performed recurring roles on LEAP YEARS, DEUX FRERES and guest roles in episodes of PLAYMAKERS, STREET TIME, SEVEN DAYS, THE CROW and COLD SQUAD.

Among his many film credits are ROMEO MUST DIE produced by Joel Silver, A SEASON ON THE BRINK starring Brian Dennehy, NO ORDINARY BABY starring Briget Fonda, REDEEMER starring Matthew Modine, THE KILLING YARD starring Alan Alda and Morris Chestnut, HOLIDAY HEART starring Ving Rhames, MURDER AT THE CANNES FILM FESTIVAL starring Bo Derek and THE NATALIE COLE STORY produced by Robert Townsend; featuring Natalie Cole and Diahann Caroll.

Having landed roles in MTL, T.O. and Vancouver he now has his sights set on the U.S.  He claims that by 2005 he’ll be right where he wants to be. When I asked him to elaborate…. he turned his head, gave me that devilish smile that I’ve grown to love in the 15 years since we’ve met and replied… “ That’s for me to know, and for y’all to find out; I’ll meet you there.”
